Daniel Guimond

With his Media Arts and Technology diploma in hand four years ago, Daniel Guimond was sure of two things: that he was fascinated by communications and that he still had a lot to learn. Fortunately for Daniel, he was recruited by Wasabi Communications fresh out of college. Since then, he has benefited from working in an environment where all spheres of communication are joined into one – where better to begin his apprenticeship!

Using this advantage to its full potential, Daniel developed his practical knowledge of communications by occupying several positions. He started out as Coordinator of Public Relations. Among other things, he was responsible for media monitoring and he set up a system for analyzing press coverage results. He then moved on to being Coordinator of Print Production, where he dealt with traditional advertising and learned to combine design and language. His ongoing thirst for knowledge led him to add media buying to his list of tasks. He subsequently developed great planning skills that brought forth his talents for strategy. Little by little, advertising helped brought him closer to non-traditional communication alternatives and led him to the position of Coordinator, Interactive Production.

He is now, Project Manager heading several interactive projects. He has maintained his passion for all aspects of communications, though he has undoubtedly focused on interactive marketing and using technologies to serve communications. His analytical ability, his strategic approach and his personality make him a valuable team player, implicated in a wide variety of projects.

Mobile Monday Montreal – February 2nd edition

The next edition of Mobile Monday Montreal (MoMoMo) will take place on February 2nd. For those of you who might not be aware of the concept, Mobile Monday already has some 50 chapters around the world and we in Montreal, have the chance to be part of it.

Each first Monday of the month, people from the mobility, communications and marketing industry are invited to gather, have a drink, learn more on a specific topic from 2 to 3 different speakers, and then broaden their contact network as you take part in the various discussions.

Just in case you are still not convinced, here's why I think you should go to at least one edition of the MoMoMo this year:
1 - You can't ignore mobility as a growing market;
2 - You will have the chance to meet mobility's most influential people (not only from Montreal but from all around North America);
3 - You might have seen great innovation in cell phone marketing , but that doesn't mean you know what can be done in our market (Canada and Quebec have their own ways of doing things);
4 - Your clients, your prospects, your agency -they will be there;
5 - As long as you pay for your drinks, it's totally free.

Here's the information on the next event:
